Is contracting cancer painful?

I think I might contract cancer in the near future and go out like Chadwick Boseman or black panther or whatever the fuck. I don't care though I want out of this life.

yeah my grandfather decided to die because of the chemotherapy it was to much
and he stopped eating and died in his bed
