If we are talking DevOp in a software development company then we are talking about a very hard and important role. Obviously it pays well but for a reason. To put it simply you are often there to fix other developers often juniors shit. You have to go trough their code which means you constantly have to think the way they thought and understand their solution and then try and find the issue that's causing the problem. You are the guy everyone looks at when something isn't working. Usually do be a DevOp you need a few years of experience in coding.

If you work well under stress you'll be fine and your wife won't complain about the salary lol
