Is DHT in scalp sebum an issue?

Heard this floating around
If I’m on dut, will DHT in sebum contribute to hair loss?

I’ve been on nopoo for almost 2 years, have only washed my hair twice, and can style my hair without product. I’ve now ordered Nizoral to use maybe once a week, and texturising powder to make up for the shit texture I get after using shampoo
