Really random but most of my friends are normal so if I asked them about it I’d look retarded, I always thought ethnic pride didn’t make a lot of sense, obviously you shouldn’t be ashamed of it but I always thought pride should be reserved for accomplishments only, however I was at the Philadelphia museum of arts and all of the euro art from 1400-1900 was genuinely miles ahead of everything else, and then I realized almost all of the beautiful artifacts I was looking at were Italian in origin, then I started reading the plaques and they spoke about how Italy sparked the renaissance era, and a ton of plaques I read spoke of how great and innovative the Italian painters and architects were, I started to get a sudden wave of immense pride knowing that was my ancestry, kinda stupid post but I’m curious for your guys thoughts
