Is exercising at home enough for losing fat in the face while preserving muscle?

My last fat loss attempts have been a disaster due to my laziness. I barely exercised. So even though I lost weight, a lot of it was muscle mass, which being skinny as I am absolutely can't afford to lose.

I lift quite heavy boxes and do push-ups at home to preserve my arm muscles and run at night to preserve my leg muscles. Is that enough to lose fat in the face while preserving muscle?
