Is facial convexity angle good for measuring recession?

Im asking this because it doesnt seem reliable.
For example if just my chin is recessed facial convexity angle is sharper. this works, but couldnt my facial convexity angle still be good if my maxilla was also recessed.
So if just mandible is recessed it works, but if max and mand are recessed it wont work or am i missing something?

Are there other options to measure recession?

You would have to use it in conjunction with other measurements like jaw angle

yes, so first of all you can just look at your face and probably start of by looking at the maxilla, then lower jaw, etc, facial convexity angle is probably a nice measurement but you can still be recessed even if its ideal

yea thats why im asking, i have good chin projection, good brow ridge, but maxilla is recessed, which makes my angle just right but i still have short mandible and recessed maxilla

recession is easily identifiable via, nasal base support (if u have dorsal hump/downturned tip), lack of under eye support (causes eye bag appearance), recessed chin and protruding upper lip creating a obtuse nasolabial angle

front profile is not a good indicator for me since i have wide jaw from the front, only my mandible is short
