Ever since covid my body comp has been complete shit. I am 5'11 and weigh 168 at 25-28% BF. Very little muscle mass. Gyms are JUST now opening up again and I'm planning an Ostarine cycle in probably 6 months when I get my numbers back up (used to squat 225, bench 135, DL 315, I know-not great but better than my numbers now). I need to gain around 20 lbs of muscle to be 170 at 12% BF but I want to start bulking at a lean state as I'm already fat at this point.

Every time I try to do a 500cal deficit I feel miserable and hungry all the time. I've tried intermittent fasting and feel like shit as well.

Fasting (only water/black coffee) for like 3 days then feeding for 4 is honestly bearable for me and it allows me to eat higher quality foods/adequate calories to satisfy on the days that I do eat and still remain in a weekly calorie deficit.

I honestly don't have much muscle to lose at this point, is fasting worth it?

fasting in most cases is never worth it

only reason why fasting is touted as "beneficial" is cause it starves off endotoxin producing gut bacteria, other than it's catabolic

I'm still paying for the damage I caused from fasting and IF

I know long term that I just need to be satisfied with less food in order to maintain a lower BF%

I wonder how much damage I'd be causing by fasting down to 150 lbs in order to be lean and then bulking up with sarms. hmmm

I wish my parents had fed me Whole Foods, encouraged me to work out etc.

I didn't start taking care of myself until I 17.

my future son gonna be raised on raw milk and grass-fed beef liver and play sports
