Is free BSSO (lower jaw surgery) worth it from a non - bp doctor? (by worth it i mean compared to buying a cosmetic surgery)

Essentially i got an overbite and could get a free lower jaw surgery to fix and align my bite, but no genio / looks in mind. Should i wait and buy a cosmetic surgery or take the free one and get genioplasty later?

He said 2-3mm to correct my bite he said it was unusually small forward movement to warrant the surgery but i could get one if i wanted to
