Im getting a herbst appliance soon because I have a recessed jaw and class 2 overbite, is kt gonna recess my maxilla? And which braces should I get?

Ask your Ortho about braces, no one here is rlly professional.

herbst appliances do not recess ur maxilla. only thing that CAN slightly recess it bcz it slows down growth is braces but thats only if u get the rubber ones. damon braces do not recess ur maxilla or slow down growth but they are more expensive. so u should get the herbst appialnce with damon braces

exactly hersbt appliacne doesnt do anything to the upper jaw but those cheap braces w rubber bands can pull the maxilla and make ir slow down in grwoing but damon braces dont do that
