Is Ginger hair really that bad?

I'm curious to get to the bottom of something, do you guys really think ginger is an instant turn off or is it a cliche/meme?

I'm dark red-haired myself, no issue with woman, my hair colour is the reason I got girls in the first place, it's a strange halo, I have mid-length red hair with green eyes, I found this forum wanting to understand fillers as I'd like a stronger jaw but I see a lot of posts and I actually agree with them, but I can't understand why.

Are gingers disliked because it's such a rare hair colour that you're more likely to see an unattractive ginger to an attractive one? Logically speaking, if you gathered 10 brown haired people in a room from the streets, I'm sure maybe only one would look good looking.. same applies to Gingers, but I guess some can be unfortunate and have those very unusual light eye-lashes and lack of eyebrows. I got blessed with being able to tan and having darker eyebrows and eyelashes, minor freckles but my hair isn't bright orange, after joining this forum I took an ''inspiration'' who is someone I've been told I look similar to, I have the exact same hair and hair colour and a similar face to this guy.

Would you say the guy below is unattractive to you guys as users of this forum, or does the red hair not matter and he's still attractive to you guys?

I have a good friend who is Ginger, very light ginger, white skinned and bright eye-lashes and he used to joke about with me in high school and say ''man it's harder for us being Ginger to get girls'' but he'd also ask advice constantly on how I can speak to girls, I noticed he was just insecure and liked to pin me in the same boat and I'd just willingly accept as I never felt insecure and was never as low on the social ladder as he was, but I'm realising dark-ginger hair actually held me above him, yet we're both gingers lmao

Definitely man, there are a good number of ginger models appearing right now on Instagram, you'll notice a new trend with red haired calendars etc, mainly dark red haired guys, never bright orange hair.. it's like we're mixed in with the inferior breed but somehow acceptable.

Actually, I really like the way you worded this.. part of me thought it might be the lack of gingers in the world, we instantly presume we don't see many ''attractive gingers'' because the chances of seeing attractive people is already slim, and in such a small population of gingers it's unlikely, but I guess most gingers do tend to be perceived negatively with the way they look colouring/build wise lol

I think I'd personally keep mine red, I want to do music and it fits my image. You're a good colour though, I think red hair and green eyes is 0.03% of the world, I think that's why its so unlikely for us to see good looking red haired people. When girls say ''I love gingers'' they often mean darker red hair, so I kind of don't want to dye my hair as I can fit that niche lol. Do you think the guy below is good for a ginger? A little more red than above, not so much close to brown.

The lack of contrast is the biggest issue with gingers, so if your eyebrows and eyelashes are dark, a big part of the ginger failo doesnt apply to you.
And you can tan, so the extreme paleness is not an issue for you either. Also note, flaming orange hair is way worse than an auburn shade for males, obviously.
Example:

I'm mostly the same, but my hair has been turning brown anyway for the past few years, very noticeable difference in hair color in pics from 3+ years ago compared to now....
Eyebrows are almost black, but they are stupidly thin so still look bad, they used to be orange.

Don't worry, I'm already blessed on that haha. My eyebrows are naturally dark brown, almost black, eyelashes black and I'm not pale either, somehow I can tan too, I have some freckles on my face only, very hard to notice.

That's a good point actually, that might explain why I've never had issues. As mentioned above I'm almost black coloured naturally on my eyebrows, the tan is a benefit so my colouring is safe. I just googled flamingo orange hair, and that's what I'm talking about, it looks tragic on guys and for some reason they always have it shaved fully which looks even worse lol.

KJ Apa (although dyed) looks so legit as a red head, almost so similar to my colour when outdoors. Did you do anything to change your eyebrows? Mine have always been naturally black and quite thick, I pluck them as they can form a monobrow which is a no-go for me lol, my hair has definitely gotten darker since I was a child, it was a little lighter but I've been in the sun a lot less, not sure if that changes much.

That's what I was really trying to understand on this thread, he's a great example. I think you're less likely to see a good looking ginger as most people aren't naturally super attractive, and when they are, the chances of them being a 0.05% population hair colour is unlikely. I think if most male models went red haired, they'd make it look great, but most red heads just don't fit the bill as it's very unlikely to be good looking in the first place.

This guy is legit proper ginger, poses nude I'm talking ginger pubes and everything lmao.. yet somehow he pulls it off, great body and face in my opinion, the red hair compliments his unusually frail but strong look.

Not sure if its the lighting but his hair looks a bit too red. I'd dye my hair brown if I was a ginger, as long as it's not dark brown it's not really that noticeable

Interestingly, in studies, both men and women favor just about every other hair color over red. There are some men who like redhead women, but most do not, and the vast majority of women do not like redhead men.

Coloring has a huge effect on women, much more than men, so when a man has certain colored eyes or hair or skin it has a bigger effect than men might think.

After analysing a lot of gingers, you can dye your hair and tint your eyebrows. Correct me if I’m wrong all the gingers I’ve ever saw had red dotted cheeks which would probably look weird on dark hair & eyebrows. You should also self tan.

Yeah this is true, most gingers look unusual brown due to the orange freckles and pale skin. I can tan naturally, I don’t have freckles and my eyebrows are black naturally with green eyes, so most people think I actually dye my hair a dark ginger colour, when in fact it’s natural lol

I’ve noticed that, they have an unusual pasty skin look and even if they dye the hair it’s noticeable. I was trying to understand if all gingers are disliked or if it’s just the specific phenotype that comes with extreme gingers and it seems like it’s fine if you’re a darker ginger with darker features but if you’re a light ginger, orange fully with pale skin, freckles and that crusty look then you’re considered less appealing.
