Is going Cold turkey the best way to get rid of addiction

Am embarrassed to say I have a common addiction that I will not disclose but is there any better methods then going cold turkey to quit said addiction?

My uncle celebrated his 15 years of sobriety

yes it's the best way. you got to block it out of your mind completely and constantly fight it

microdosing it and slowly easing on the quantity is shit. conquer the addiction

Depends if you are able to taper down. Im not, i am the all or nothing guy, so cold turkey is the only way for me

Depends what kind of addiction if it is drugs like benzos then no it could kill you if it is another drug google the withdrawal symptoms and see how safe it is
