Is going from papular/nodular acne to smaller pustules progress on tretinoin?

2.5 months on tretinoin, the purge definitely seems to have start settling by this month, and all the acne i get now is small pustule whithout that much redness. Not fully sure if its progress tbh, cause my PIE looks worse now then before tretinoin but thats probably from the mild purge i had that caused leftover pigmentation
