Is going to college just for socializing a good idea?

I have no friends or social circle at all. Is going to college only for socializing good or is there a better idea? I think it would be cringe to show up to college in a G wagon with forgi's. Or would it make me Chad?

But would I need to live on campus for benefit? Kind of cringe to live in some dorm with a bunch of brokies when I have a penthouse.

depends:

i did 2 degrees:

1. was a big public german university. in germany you dont live on campus and the lectures are pretty anonymous. if you dont make any effort you can get your degree without talking to anyone really. its not like in school where you chill in small classes and socialise basically automativally over time.

2. private university from the german state with small classes where you just hang on eavh othrr for 3 years. it was like school basically so socialising did happen.


so it depends on the country you live in and what you study imho

Depends. Most of the people that go to college already have friend groups e.g. they went to the same HS and so on.

yes, you really need to be nt, good looking or both. even at work i dont feel as alone as i felt during that time in public university.

but in usa i heard its different bc everyone lives in a dorm, often far away from where people grew up, so new social circles are more easily build

There is nicer housing on campus and then the cheaper ones
For social reasons it’s better to live there then join a frat

Cheapest school won’t be the most fun and social so you’re wasting your money
