very dumb, if you'll do that you'll tire out your muscle faster and won't recover it before your next set, so you won't be able to train effectively

Really? But how do I know when I did enough reps then? A predetermined amount seems dumb

First of all with failure, we mean exhaustion. True failure is not achievable for each set.

And the answer is yes and no. For exercises that involves bigger muscles like squats, you don't have to go to "failure". You actually wanna leave some reps in reserve and go ham on the isolations, that's when you go to "failure" but only at the last set.

just go as close as you can before you reach failure, aim for 6-8 reps (if you stop at 4 stop at 4 and lower the weight slightly) but dont do extra

Don’t listen to whatever else others are saying. Preferably you need to leave one rep in reserve as there will be a big difference in fatigue. The stimulus difference between 0rir and 1rir is Minimal but the fatigue trade off is pretty big

How many sets do you do? I would recommend mentzers HIT and sleepmaxxing, even though i don't really have the muscle to legitimize anything i say abt this topic.
Like 3 exercises a 3 sets

If you’re going to failure you should do a minimum of 5 reps and if you’re leaving 1rir you should do 4 reps. Of course 4reps with 1 rir will be better than 12reps with 1 rir but don’t stress it as the difference isn’t that big

1-2 from failure and last set to failure

FBOED 2 exercises if big muscle group 1 exercise if smaller (big back legs small biceps triceps) 2 sets 6-8 reps

yeah start doing roids would benefit you little nigga :lul:
little with 22 inch bideltoid

Isn’t hypertrophy all about pushing the muscle to its limits so it’s forced to grow bigger and stronger? Obv u don’t wanna train for muscle endurance though, I’ve always heard for compounds keep it in the 6 - 8 rep range and isos 10 - 12. If u can do more than that, increase the weight

Gains is like 20% about training and 80% about recovery though (diet, rest, hormones). That’s why u see guys at the gym that have been training forever and look the same
