Is gonion pulling worth potential tmj

I saw claviculae talking about gonion pulling but he discouraged people from doing it because it could cause discomfort and tmj.
It seems a little bit like cope so im not sure if it even works butnis it worth trying since my gonions are really bad. It seems likenif it doesn't work i dont see how it could cause any negative effect. Im probably going tobget implant but i still wanna know if its worth trying
