I’m 17 years old, 179 cm tall with a 181 cm wingspan.
Recently, I had a wrist X-ray that was assessed as being around Tanner Stage 5, but obviously that’s based on my wrist, so we can’t be 100% sure how much growth I may still have left elsewhere, whether that’s my torso, or other areas.
My torso also isn’t massively disproportionate to my legs (I’ll attach photos below, including the X-ray), which is relevant to the decision I’m trying to make.
Right now, I’m deciding between two options:
1. Run HGH now while I’m still growing, then start testosterone once I’ve stopped growing.
2. Skip HGH entirely and start testosterone now and work on more subtle stuff, like skin, bcs i´ll have more extra money.
The main issue is money. I have limited money, bcs I have limited time to make it.
I’m on AIs rn, and my original plan was HGH for like 1-2 years, then testosterone after. But after recently losing a significant amount of money, I’ve started questioning whether that’s still the smartest approach.
My predicted adult height is earound 184cm, although I’m not sure I’ll actually reach it.
One idea I’ve been considering is running HGH for a few months to see whether I still respond to it. If I notice meaningful growth, I could continue. If not, I’d stop instead of continuing to spend money on something that isn’t producing results.
As everyone knows, HGH is expensive. My planned dose would be around 8-9 IU.
I’m also open to limb lengthening surgery in the future, which is part of why this decision matters so much to me.
Since I’m currently fairly proportional, I’m worried that limb lengthening alone could make me look less balanced. Ideally, if I still have growth left, I’d like to maximize torso and arm length so everything stays proportionate.
Also, please don’t suggest doing HGH and testosterone together. “Just run test, it’s cheap,” it’s true but doing testosterone properly with bloodwork, ancillaries, and everything else adds up, bcs im not going to DNR the sides. For me, it’s one option or the other.
So that’s my situation. What would you do in my position? I’d appreciate any input.
