I've been told that HIIT cardio increases cortisol levels, which is bad for your face. Would it be better to just run at a steady pace?

depends on you goal: burning fat fast then hiit cardio
lower cortisol, less stress on the body but takes alot more time: then normal cardio i guess

I've been doing this for years - I have a low body fat percentage and it hasn't affected my face. If you want a low BF, this is a better way than running 10 km.

Can you tell us about your workout routine? Do you follow a strict diet?

It depends. What do you want out of cardio? If you just want to lose fat, you're better off doing zone 2 cardio.

I started HIIT because of the mental benefits, but zone 4-5 cardio tends to be quite taxing for your body. If you start, your recovery needs to be locked in (as in sleep, diet, etc.)

My face hasn't changed at all, except for getting a bit leaner lol

I really like HIIT & I do it about 3 times a week. I feel great for the rest of the day if I do it in the morning
