Is Instagram better than Tinder for meeting girls?

IMO meeting girls via Instagram is mainly a meme, but I'll try to be objective.

Advantages of Insta
-There are many more girls, maybe even more than guys(Tinder in my country is like 85/15 male/ female JFL)
-Status halo if you have many followers

Disadvantages
-Most girls don't have a public profile, so they'll need to accept you first if you want to talk to them.
-Status failo if you don't have many followers
-At least with Tinder you know that attraction exists, or they wouldn't have matched with you otherwise. You can't be certain in Instagram though.
-Strictly personal opinion, but i find sending DMs in Insta much more forced and unnatural.

So, in conclusion, i think that Insta may be good for approaching girls you already have met IRL, but i just don't see how you can approach random foids, unless you are some +1000 followers Chad.

I think so aswell, but still some of my friends, who have neither looks or status, have managed to get dates or even GFs talking to random girls in Insta.
