Is insuranced covered by Bimax worth it?

A few people have told me that if I go through insurance for bimax surgery, the results probably won’t look as good aesthetically — apparently surgeons in that situation are more focused on fixing function and don’t put as much effort into making things look great. I’m still working with my ortho right now to see if insurance will cover it, but honestly, if going private and paying out of pocket means a noticeably better-looking result, I’d rather just do that.
What are y'all thoughts?

Are you allowed to pick your surgeon that the insurance then covers? Otherwise its going to be somewhat of a coin flip. In your case aesthetic results may vary from just ok to great.

I'm still in the process of trying to get it covered and going through visits so I'm not quite sure just yet.
