I'd say achievement is, no matter one's IQ (althrough intelligence is a prerequisite for some achievements). But is intelligence by itself attractive?
I see that opinions differ among the users, so I decided to make a thread in order for us to present relevant arguments.
I will avoid stating my IQ, and just say that being knowledgeable and competent on certain subjects, open to ideas, and engaging in interesting conversations (and providing insights) never really helped me attract a girl.
At most I was just called intelligent/smart, or got asked "How can you know so many things!? :O"

And no, I do not run around saying to everyone how smart I am. I do show it in a practical way, through grades, through providing insights in my Master's classes, through painting, through engaging in conversations, and through engaging others in participating in such conversation.
