Is invisalign less effective than regular braces?

A ortho managed the insurance to pay for fixining my crooked teeth.
Now i am scared to really install the braces. Since i am already late 20s and the braces would take 1-1.5 years, i think it will take too much precious time as a incel since no female wants to date a guy with teenager braces in mouth.

Should i just go for invisalign and then pay veneers out of my own pockets?

Invisalign is more effective than braces because it applies force to the back of the teeth as well.

Are you sure? I heard from many invisalign patients that it didnt really worked for them.
You think the ortho just wants to make more money from me and pushes for regular braces?

they both work. invisalign tends to work faster. usually more expensive though.
