Is Invisalign really better for aligning your teeth for jaw surgery?

Most people use metal braces before and after jaw surgery, but recently some orthodontists over here are trying to sell the Invisalign treatment before and after surgery. Although it’s quite expensive, I heard it takes just a few months in preparation(3 to 4 months) for your teeth to be aligned so that you can have the jaw surgery and a few more months after surgery.

Well, compared to metal braces that may take even 2 years before plus 1 year after surgery, it seems that Invisalign is worthwhile.

But how much is it true?

I‘ll think about that. Unfortunately many orthodontists over here tend to “scam” patients with metal braces to make them pay as many as monthly fee as possible, so the treatment takes longer and orthodontists make more money.
