I am pretty sure if you are NW 1 and get a HT you are stressing the remaining hair follicles causing your non HT hair to shed more and it will backfire hard. If you are NW 1 just get in FIN, minoxidil, RU58441 etc.

To answer the OP: No, it is not wise. NW2 does not depart significantly from NW1 in terms of aesthetics. As long as you have your balding under control, a NW2 can be fine.
