Is it ever worth it to merely get a BSSO when you can bimax?

My ortho suggested a lower jaw surgery but he seemed bluepilled af. I would have to do two extractions and pull my teeth backward to move my mandible forward. Atp I would not just want a mandibular advancement, will it not always look better to get both surgeries? My maxilla isn't recessed but it isn't exactly super well developed either, so I would just move the lower jaw further than the upper jaw, but move both.

Depends on how developed your maxilla exactly is.

It actually varies from person to person. But you're right. Unless the person has serious midface or lower eye problems, it won't have that much of an impact on the front profile.
