Yes, kinda hard to get in a way. Maybe it’s because in the modern world women are encouraged to be strong and independent. To me it’s weird seeing adult women happy in a relationship because they seem so serious and cold and unattainable all the time otherwise

I think it's about your perception of it, not necessarily that they're unattainable at all if that makes sense. However yeah I do get where you're coming from especially since older girls usually put so much effort into their appearance since the wall is coming that they can seem intimidating. Just understand that older women are usually more insecure but on the other hand have higher expectations for a man since they know their time is running out.
