I used it Friday and now it’s peeling today. Weird thing is it doesn’t peel the day after use so Saturday. Is this normal?

i got similar peeling using the gel but i bet it was the alcohol in it making me peel. i never peeled from cream
Is it because I slug the same time I use retin-a? Could that be the cause? That means your skin barrier is breaking and you're not moisturizing enough.
Basically putting Vaseline or some other form of petroleum jelly on your face to contain moisture at night
No, that actually helps your moisture barrier.Basically putting Vaseline or some other form of petroleum jelly on your face to contain moisture at night
I do moisturize but staying out of the sun is impossible for me rn, I’m using it at night and applying sunscreenit means it’s working but you need to stay out of the sun and moisturise
when I started tret this happened to me as well (not as bad but still)
its to be expected
Probably but I think the slugging is helping absorption with retin-a which gives it a stronger reaction to my skinNo, that actually helps your moisture barrier.
Perhaps, it could be a chemical reaction.
Well no, just make sure you're excessively moisturizing and using sunscreen for the first few weeks of using tretinoin because it's an extremely strong novel product for your skin.Probably but I think the slugging is helping absorption with retin-a which gives it a stronger reaction to my skin
Ok I’ll moisturize more it sucks cause it burns but I’ll pay any price for kpop skinWell no, just make sure you're excessively moisturizing and using sunscreen for the first few weeks of using tretinoin because it's an extremely strong novel product for your skin.

Also average temperature where I’m at currently is high 80s so more sun on my incel faceIt’s 100% normal. Are you using sun cream too
You shouldn't slug with retin a, it causes you to absorb too much. Take a break from retin a until peeling subsides. When you start again use it 3-4 times a week for a couple weeks to adapt and work your way upIs it because I slug the same time I use retin-a? Could that be the cause?
I thought slugging was good specifically for that reason tbh, better absorption. I only use retin-a three times a week in the nightYou shouldn't slug with retin a, it causes you to absorb too much. Too much absorption causes peeling. Use squalene oil after retin a instead of vaseline I'd say.I thought slugging was good specifically for that reason tbh, better absorption. I only use retin-a three times a week in the night
