Is it okay to leave water in the bathtub for a few hours? (Bathmate related question)

I just did maybe 10+ minutes of pumping, still trying to learn how to do bathmate perfectly, anyway. I just got out of the bath, but I didn't drain the tub. I know if I left it in there for a super long time, it would be bad, but what i I did it for a few hours, say 8, then did some more bathmate, and then drained it. Would that damage my tub, or is that safe to do?
