His "low esr" here (which is also on him exclusive to this almost 3/4 angle) comes from insane lateral zygo protrusion, his eyes are still perceived as wide set because your brain doesn't compare IPD to bizygo to gauge the ESR.
It's perceived by comparing the IPD to the base width of the skull, which is formed by a line connecting bigonial and temples, and that line just happens to go through the bizygo in almost everyone as obv most people don't have that level of zygo bone mass.
