Is it possible that low collagen + facial structure causes hollow cheeks?

as people age their cheeks hollow out, people that also smoke, on average, tend to have hollower cheeks than non smokers. could this be due to the fact that as you age, collagen decreases and as you smoke, your collagen is nuked?

Obviously I’m aware facial structure is necessary for hollow cheeks, but tons of people who don’t have hollow cheeks in their late teens, do once they’re in their 30s for example, a very good example is Penn badgley.
