Is it possible to avoid extracting wisdom teeth for lower jaw/double jaw surgery?

I can't find the answer to this anywhere, I read they make cuts right where the wisdom teeth are, could they just make them somewhere else?

There is no need to keep them. It is good that we have them erupted, I usually refer to that as a quality seal of adequate growth of the jaws... but there is no real need to keep them.

And orthognathic surgery becomes more difficult if we try to keep them.
