Surgeon wanted to extract premolars and wisdom teeth in the surgery process, can I avoid this? Maybe a different surgeon?

I should have worded the second part right, Im more open to wisdom teeth extractions but I’d like to avoid premolars. Surgeon is saying if I recall correctly that at least 2 premolars need to be extracted before surgery.Premolar extractions are only needed when your overjet can't be fixed by regular appliances afaik. I have never heard of any surgeon that agreed on performing low jaw surgery without having the bottom wisdom teeth extracted first, for the osteostomy is done in the very place the teeth roots are located.
For the upper wisdom teeth some surgeons won't require them to be extracted, I think it's solely a matter of technique and surgeon preference (it was the case of @Gaia262 if I well remember). About having the extractions done during the jaw surgery itself it's generally not a good idea since it can led to complications according to my surgeon.

My mom just wants me to avoid premolar teeth extraction with her logic being that I’m ripping out healthy teeth from my mouth. I doubt the surgeon would want me to rip them out for no reason but its good idea to look for more opinions I guess. I just don’t want to waste my time with bluepill cope shit appliances or anything like thatI had my lower wisdom teeth and lower premolars removed as part of my pre-surgival orthodontic plan.
You can try another surgeon and see what they say. But it may be the case that's the only way.
Once you do that you are basically commited as your face will change during the decompensation stage.

Any updates on this ?Yeah I thought the same thing aswell, best to get a few.other surgeons advice and see. If they all say the same thing the it is what It is.
Just note it's temporary, after surgery your face and teeth will be aligned in a better position.
It gets worse before it gets better
It seems the most amount of advancement would happen in this case. Some surgeons offer no braces surgery but advancement would probably be lessI had my lower wisdom teeth and lower premolars removed as part of my pre-surgival orthodontic plan.
