It is absolutely needed to fix downwards growth. And if this isn't possible is it possible to do a high lefort 1 incision with ccw and then a ccw of your infra orbitals as a possible alternative

Bullshit just cause it's for sydromic people doesn't mean it can't be adapted for cosmetic purposes i mean literally do you know what your saying ? your saying a surgery which can literally fix a midfacial hypolastic region is not a cosmetic surgery

Yes it certainly can be most are not a straight advancement. In fact its very usual for there to be less advancement at the infraorbital rim than at ANS or A Point...

Some oblique osteotomy patterns can even give superior movement in addition to rotational movement. Oblique Osteotomy patterns can be applied to Modified Kufner’s LeFort III and Formal LeFort III patterns (over the nose)

But it isnt absolutely needed to fix downward growth lets not be dramatic ;)

lefort 3 is not a cosmetic surgery
Why not?

- Dr. Barry Eppley
”Pourquoi pas? (Why not?)” - Dr. Paul Tessier

(I guess people werent so quick to sue back then and the court of public opinion (people who know nothing about the surgeries) didn't matter as much as they do now in USA/Western Europe)

doubt your maxilla is that recessed. But you can go to the surgeon and tell him you want Lefort III because your midface and orbitals are 4 mm back.

I need a lefort 6 so yeah i will

Yes ofc why wouldnt it ccw and cw both are possible

Can CCW shorten philtrum
yes, it doesent even tave to be a CCW

when they cut the lf1 area out, they can shave down a bit of that bone thats between top of lf 1 and maxilla, so essentialy your philtrum would get shorter

dont quote me on this, I just think I once saw some korean plastic surgeon offering this

Why do people say long midface is bad, as long as it fits with the facial thirds it should be fine right?

Is LF3 distractors better than LF3 the actual surgery itself?

If the midface ratio is also good then yes
I seen on surgery forums they were talking about this

what about the use of implants? Are infraorbital implants really worth it?

Yeah if you have shit undereye support or a negative orbital vector then infraorbital implants will improve the undereye. I've noticed that it's also common among individuals who get bimax

So trimax + infraorbitals would correct all the effects of mouth breathing

Well it would fix those issues but I'm not sure about ALL the effects. Recession affects the entire face, I am not qualified to answer but I think your cheekbones, nose etc. would have been different without improper development

CCW can fix flat cheekbones I think? I don’t know but on jaw surgery forums it said most of the thinks mouth breathing does can be fixed

No I don't think it does, atleast not in a bimax/trimax. The cheekbones remain untouched in a LeFort 1. Instead I've heard that the cheekbones can look worse afterwards since the lower part of the maxilla protudes more forward while cheekbones remain behind, however it can be corrected through cheekbone implants with anterior projection. Zygos can be done along with the infraorbital implants i'm sure
