I want to grow my masseters muscles, in order to fix narrow jaw from the front. According to my research a caloric surplus is required for maximizing muscle hypertrophy, which is my main reasoning behind not cutting to lose face fat. I heard though that when working out, while in neither a surplus or deficit (AKA body recomp), leads to both maintaining muscle hypertrophy as well as losing fat. Would that approach be realistic for the jaw muscles, or should I stick to a slight caloric surplus?

I have a shit ton of face fat, so I need to know the best approach.
