assuming you have an alarmingly low verbal iq, is it possible to increase ones verbal iq through reading and writing etc?

How did they test it?

If you debate, learn critical thinking, read more, think more, etc. you'll have a way better understanding of language and how to reason using language. Even if your IQ doesn't increase you'll still think better and sound smarter, and the average Joe won't tell the difference.

Thought process is like 30-40% of what people think of as smart.
bro i wish i could
i feel i was smarter at 12yo than now
Exactly the same mane they did an iq test which I scored highly on the verbal part but it seems like I lost a bit of that. I still completed the highest high school education in the nl tho but it feels worse

I have high spatial iq and decent memory iq on the test that you sent me. I got the lowest score on verbal but I skipped one part completely tbh and it was still above 100

im not gonna take any tests
if you get a low score it will limit you so much mentally
but get a high score and it will create infinite possibilities:feelshah: not like i was planning on getting a formal education in the first place

i dont do anything in school, its too boring and how would that make my verbal iq higher? assume it is far below average
Read more. Read books that are challenging but enjoyable for you to read (a subject that interests you.)

@RealNinja do you think audiobooks have the same effect?
No idea. If you can’t tolerate reading actual books then listening to an audiobook is probably better than doing nothing.

I would think audiobooks would be helpful for increasing verbal IQ as long as you’re paying attention and trying to process the information instead of just zoning out while it plays.
