Is it possible to make a mental midget/spastic sentient by giving him a heroic dose of DMT or Ayahuasca?

Was this ever carried out in an experiment? I would have thought during the 1960s with the invention of LSD they might have tried to drag a spaz into sentience through a massive dosage that rewires their brain.

Yeah like surely it would work?

There would have to be some things taken into consideration. For example:
- Physical structure of the brain before taking it. Does the person have a normal sized brain with a normal number of neurons
- What type of mongo are they? Down syndrome? Severe autism? Some kind of mental invalid from a genetic disease?
- How much may be too much for them? Do you start off with a low dose and work up or do you just give them a huge fucking dose from the start?
- What would the effects be once it wears off? Is it possible you create a horrifying scenario where they are now acutely aware of their retardation on the inside but are unable to express it as a normal person now. Trapped in their own head.

That last one is a huge ethical question

I question if low IQ, non introspective people even have any introspective thoughts on psychedelics or if they just think to themselves: woah weird colors bro, the walls look different

I think a bad trip is for example created by someone first feeling like the passing of time is changing and thinking they have a better understanding of the concept of infinity, then thinking to themselves: what if this moment never passes and they are trapped in this mental state for eternity. Then they panic and start thinking on overdrive to try and reason their way out of it until they either think of a reason that reassures them they'll be fine or the breakdown of the drug changes their mental state to a calmer state.

It would not surprise me if low sentience people with no inner monologue also get the same feeling that the passing of time is changing, but they just let it be, their brain doesn't actually do anything with the information or try to analyze how this might be good or bad for survival

I bet there are some people who could never have a bad trip no matter how much psychedelics you give them

I get what you're saying, but bad trips can go deeper than that. You can actually lose touch with reality. It's hard to describe if you haven't experienced it. When I had a bad trip on shrooms, I legit thought I was a conduit for some demonic entity lol.
