It isn't blocking androgen receptor activity on the scalp so some progression of AGA is likely inevitable even on Finasteride.

well its 5-10 years of balding that you managed to avoid its not like all that just catches up to you.
And it losses effectiveness on average at that point in stopping progression of hairloss you can always up from finasteride to dutasteride if that happens.
