Is it true that no matter how much you ascend youll still have the same old pre ascension chud mindset?

Thats obviously not true. if you overobsess about every little thing relating to looks, you will still be insecure, sure, but if you aren't a fucking dumbass you can realize that you ascended and be happy you look way better, thus gaining self confidence

and since you ascended AND gained self confidence, you will live a much more fulfilling life (more opportunities + you're better at harnessing them)
