Is it true that shit collagen makes hair follicle not grow?

Ive realized that alot of men with good beard also got good skin and is collagen a factor to being able to grow a beard/facial hair? I got shit collgen,but i dont really see guys with shit collagen who got good facial hair if they do it doesnt look good on them.
I have read somewhere here that androgen receptor work together with colllagen on the face is that true?
