ok thanks, my problem rn is taking more rest than working out jfl its hard to stay consistent

No more than a blue collar job does. Obviously if you take sterons and do competitive bodybuilding or powerlifting it's a different story.

yes, higher cortisol
In theory yeh cortisol levels from exercise could affect facial aging, but there ain any proof of this

This guy nearly 50 years old in this Film and still he looked good despite the fact that he was professional bodybuilder all his life. Just lift normal in gym, not like competitive bodybuilder, don't take steroids

using arnold and then saying dont use steroids is ironic
I meant that he used steroids and looked good, and wanted to say that without steroids you will look even better

The stress from weightlifting is acute and the body can easily adapt to it so it shouldn't have the same effect high cortisol has on your face.

Having musculature also makes you more mobile in your old years since the muscle loss through aging makes some struggle to walk. Having muscle also protects your bones

But it's not the best for actually living the longest since your heart will have to pump more blood and you will need to consume more calories which lowers lifespan.

However it's quality over quantity, having muscle will make your life better even in the old age because of the mobility. There is no point living 10 years more if you'll just be rotting vegetable waiting for death.

It's the same with height. Short people live longer (if they don't rope lol) for the same reason people with no muscle do, but ofc everyone wants to be taller anyways since your quality of life is much more important

How does less calories increase lifespan ?
Just starve yourself bro

The CR group has 30% less calories than the control. The median lifespan for the control group was 6.4 years, compared to 9.6 years for the CR group. When the last control lemur died at 11.3 years, one third of the CR lemurs we’re still alive.

in humans
"Epidemiological studies certainly support the notion that a reduced energy intake that is nutritionally sound improves age-associated health."

there are many studies done on animals with CR but not many on humans since ofc you would need to monitor them for years and you can adjust caloric levels in animals easier, humans will eat whatever they want so designing a study with humans on this is harder, but it's common knowledge in the anti aging community that CR is good for longevity

that's the reason bryan johnson starved himself in the beggining, he increased his calories by 200 since then because his face was too sunken but it's good for health. and even now his calories are low

Cope
Calories repairs and heals your body

i aint watching 2 hours bro, can you summarize?

If you overeat a bunch of junk you’ll start to see problems but a nutrient dense diet with all the amino acids excluding some that speed up aging tryptophan , even that can be balanced out by taking in more glycine
