Pheromones are inert in humans in terms of sexual success. The organ to produce them isn't present in all humans, and in those who have it, its non-functioning. However, sweat releases some bacteria indicative of hormones and immune systems, and in "the sweaty t-shirt experiment", women were most likely to be attracted to/choose the t-shirt with the most different immune system from their own:
