Is it unusual to have been taking 4-8 IU of hGH from age 10?

I’ve been on HGH since I was around 10 years old because my parents are both really short. Dosage was 4–8 IU daily for years without me even fully knowing the long-term effects, it was just “normal” in my family. I had it taken by the doctor paying up to $10k per year for the liquid I've been injecting through an auto injector. I’m turnig 15 in a month now and my growth plates are almost fused so I’m getting off it.


Is this an insane dose to have been on from such a young age? Anyone else here with a similar experience?

4–8 IU a day since 10 is crazy yes, most kids get more like 1–3 IU if theyre taking it. Not unheard of though, esp in places like Korea where docs push harder for height if parents are short. You’re basically at the finish line now with your plates almost fused.

my parents are both around 5'5-5'6 and my family in general is short, with hgh the doctor projects ill grow to around 5'9~5'10 which I think is decent with shit genes + asian

you weren't super young when you started either, it's the latest sensible time for midgets to take gh to grow taller.

Honestly, sounds like normal medical treatment, nothing crazy
4-8 IU is pretty standard for kids with growth hormone issues (normal is 0.025–0.05 mg per kg per day) when it's actually prescribed by a doctor.

well i was taking a lower dosage on ages 8-9 currently 5’7 at 14 projected to grow to about 5’9 and 5’10 if im lucky, .org standards im probably a midget tho

im 5’8 at 16 (stopped growing at 14/15ish )
