Is it weird to ask co-worker out?

So I have this cute co-worker and I'm with her in the same room everyday. This is actually the first time I really fell in love with a girl, sure I was interested in alot of girls in the past but I think this is the first time I actually feel something. I think about her pretty much all day, problem is if I ask her out and she declines, wouldn't that be mad awkward for her being stuck with me everyday?
I could be wrong but I have the feeling she likes me too, she is not really shy around other people but with me she seems kinda awkward, she tries to start conversations with me and when we walk past eachother she quickly looks at me and then looks at the ground smiling. When we talk with eachother she looks me in the eyes though. I'm telling you all this because I want you guys to tell me if those are good signals or bad ones because I'm absolutely not NT in my stupid head and I'm not sure.
