is it worth taking dutasteride at 17?

I have dutasteride and oral minoxidil (My dad is bald)
Should I just take the minoxidil only? Does the dutasteride ruin potential beard growth? What should I do?
Advice would be so helpful, thank you

My hairline is good, its just a preventative measure. Is 17 too early? do i just take minoxidil for like eyebrows, hair thickness and stuff?

Ask your dad when did he started balding and you’ll have a pretty good estimate of when you should start worrying about it, mine was balding since the age of 18, i started balding at 17 and hopped on finasteride at 19 because i didn’t know about it till then. Unless you have bad acne or hair thinning its the best to avoid these meds until it makes sense. And yes removing your dht could slow down beard maturization.
