Is it worth to get Monobenzone cream

this was my skin tone as a kid, it gotten 1-2 shades darker as I grew older but people of all races still told me Im white looking, even got bullied for it in school

Im in a bit of a dilemma on if I should go paler like Rob Patterson levels with Monobenzone or keep the natural tan

for reference im between medium and olive rn
