Things are getting really bad for the average man, both in terms of economics and with dating.

I remember a couple decades ago seeing some news report or documentary showing these poorly paid Japanese men living inside studio apartments, with no dating prospects, thinking "wow, glad I don't live in Japan, I will have a good life when i grow up!".

These days, I often feel like we're actually going the same way, if we aren't mostly there already. Most men will quietly accept their place as a poorly paid salaryman who besides doing their job lives as a shut-in in their studio apartment. The lowest of the low going full hikikomori.
