Is jaw training actually worth doing for aesthetics?

I mean things like hard chewing, mastic gum, jaw trainers, etc. I’m mainly interested in whether it can actually make your jawline/masseters look better or if it’s mostly cope.

For those who have tried it:

  • Did you notice any visible changes?
  • How long did you train for?
  • What method did you use?
  • Any TMJ/jaw pain or other side effects?
  • Would you say it’s worth the time?
Looking for honest experiences, not just theory.

I had masseter asymmetry with one well developped and the other being much less projected. i chwed nearly a whole pack of gum every week and now my jaw is perceived as wider n more symetrical... i measured it in several pics. tbh it boosts the side profile and the front but only really did shit coz i was lacking real dimo in jaw and jaw only. don't train to failure and jus chew when you can n u'll be fine. also don't develop asymmetries if you already are symmetrical. slightly wider but asymetrical jaw <<< narower but symetrical

Depends if the masseters are low set or high set

Jaw trainer it's good for sure for masseter hypertrophy but don't do it too much after after 2 months u will get good results but i recommend mastic gum for more safety

You mean masseter training, you need to be chewing hard and chewy foods like steak or if you can’t affoard to eat steak that often, you could get some type of hard gum like mastic gum. You can see noticable results within the first months, if you’re going to chew mastic gum, i recomand chewing it like 10-15min on each side like 3 times per week because it works like any other muscle, if you dont chew it for more than like 15min, you shouldn’t have problems with tmj. Also, there is a theory that chewing hard food can help with mandible growth.
I would appraciate it if you rep and mark as solution
