nope. grammar is only a fraction of the total data in a language. vocab matters way more. its why east asian languages are the hardest, their vocab is the hardes. chinese grammar is piss easy

Most Germans I know speak English. If you are going to live there for 10 years you will have to for work I assume. But just for getting around or chatting up random people you only need English.

The average German persons English is better then a lot of Americans if I am being honest. Any somewhat educated person or anyone in the city uses it. With the internet this has increases even more
