Is lip lift always gonna look fake / gay as a guy?

I have a super long philtrum and a very thin upper lip. A lip lift would solve both problems and ascend my mouth area. The problem is that I keep reading that people on here say it looks really shitty and gay and fake with a lip lift. So is it not actually worth doing it as a male?

Lip lift might shorten philtrum but your mouth is still in the same position
