Is lockpicking worth learning?

I keep fantasizing about burglary.

Basically, I'd wait till like 3 in the morning, then I'd walk (while leaving my phone at home) to a store in a different part of the city. Pick the lock real quick, grab a few phones and a laptop, and gtfo home.

But idk if it's even worth doing, there are a lot of holes in that plan.

For instance, you'd need light to see what you're doing. And if somebody walks by and sees you with a fucking flashlight in the store (or at the door), then you're fucked. Another problem is the time. You only really have like 3 minutes or less, because most likely there is a silent alarm (or even an audible one) that gets activated the moment you touch the lock. And I think lockpicking usually takes more than that. And you also need like 30 seconds to actually do the looting.

Ehh, retarded fantasies. Wish I could think of a totally safe crime I could commit for money.

I just check to see if there is a camera pointed directly at the place they're stored. I use them daily for protein oats. Then I go about buying what I normally need and just buy that normally with 2-3 small things in my pocket. (Got an arcteryx jacket with bit pockets).

I have aspergers so I am used to control my bodylanguage. If I steal I am more friendly towards the workers. When I see them I send a friend signal, an upwards nod to the opposite side of where they are (showing the carotid artery works as a friend signal to most mammals, humans included) coupled with a 1/6th second eyebrow flash and a faked geniune smile (search online). I don't quite have the eyebrow flash down yet but I doubt most notice.

It can be quite fun for how little you're actually taking tbh. I approached some foid employee checking the self checkouts and talked a bit with her and then walked out with ~10€ essence... Man I am pathetic tbh.

When I was a teen, I came up with a plan to smash and grab something from a store's window. I took my hammer, put it in my jacket, went out at night but a random police patrol stopped me, asked me for my name, address and reason for being out late at night. I claimed I was simply returning home from a party and they wrote my name, the location and time on a notebook.
I was lucky there weren't any incidents that night in my town, otherwise I could have been visited again later by the police. And just like that, my criminal career was over before it even had a chance to start...
