people with mouthbreated face always have bigger lower third rather than the bigger midface.
i think long nose horseface curse is just genetics..

yes i thought i had a long midface for a while, then found out from surgeons that it was actually my lower third that was too long. when chronically mouthbreathing, there's excess maxillary bone that rotates ur jaws downwards (look at the kids' lips) and narrowing of the maxilla (therefore the zygomatic arch too).

genetics + environment

if you have a long midface u know what do :p

my occlusal angle is downward grown tbh but i dont have gummy smile.. and i got long nose and short lower third.
if i breathed well would my lower third be shorter? that would be disaster tho.

if ur occlusal plane is steep w/o gummy smile then u might have a slightly deficient posterior maxilla, meaning that it wouldve made ur chin more protrusive and mandibular angle shallower.

tbh its most likely influenced by falling into one of the oriental phenotypes (tend to have brachy skulls w/ longer faces so overall larger skull)

Damn nigga how did you know i am a gook? Wtf.
What does it mean my posterior maxilla is deficient? I think my anterior maxilla is deficient and long vertically too

Mouthbreathing take me from compact midface(1.15) to longish midface (1.0).

Also genetic long midface is only ethnical shits like jews, native americans, etc.
Average white MEN are supposed to have compacter midface if properly develop

Unfortunately midface is almost impossible to fix
Especially in sphenoid region
No matter if genetic or enviromental
Am I right @curryslayerordeath or you have some Hope?

1.0 isnt long. Most male models have a 1.0 midface.

Mouthbreathing doesnt give you longer nose bro. Look up how mouthbreathed victims look like. They have same nose length.

probably not, tbh i also had an underbite as a kid, but luckly my dad's a dentist

Mouthbreathing make your chin, maxilla recessed and gonial angle too high but it has nothing to do with midface ratio

Midface ratio is purely genetic

Her nose is vertically longer

Also mouthbreathing cause downwardgrowth what means whole face grew down even forehead

naw, drawings you suggested have no credibility.
even if your face grow downward it shouldn't affect the length of everything forming your nose.

you can see noses of the girl you posted and the boy here may have grown a bit but doesn't look extreme or noticable at all despite we can observe severe level of lower third retrusion. probably vertical nasal length have grown a bit due to aging process not downward growth.

Still think that downward growth vertically lenghten whole face especially lower third after midface but I respect your point

honestly i dont know well, but orthodontists in my country i visited they always said nose tissue length is not affected by 'adenoid syndrome'
but i think ans will grow downwards.
but most of doctors in my country are quacks so we should ask other doctors in country like america or something.
